School Admission Arrangement Consultation
Steiner Academy Hereford
In accordance with the requirements of the 2014 School Admissions Code, the Trustees of the Steiner Academy Hereford (The Admission Authority) are proposing to amend the Admission Arrangements for the Academy, with effect from 1 September 2021.
Your attention is drawn to a public consultation which is commenced today, Monday 6th December 2019 and will close at 4pm on Friday 31 January 2020. During this consultation period, any person is invited to submit comment or objections to the proposals.

The amendments refer to section 4.2 The Oversubscription Criteria:
· Criterion added in position 2 regarding children who have been in state care outside of England in line with the guidance issued by the Department for Education
· Criterion added in position 3 regarding the children of a member of staff who has been employed at the school for two or more years at the time of application as described in paragraph 1.39 of the School Admissions Code 2014
· Criterion 4 regarding children with a sibling on roll for more than 1 year amended to clarify the ranking of applications meeting this criterion

What happens next?
Following closure of the consultation, the Academy Trustees will meet to consider any comments or objections returned during the consultation period and a formal response will be issued to the consultees. When the Admission Arrangements have been approved in final form by the Trust, the documents will be published on the ‘Steiner Academy Hereford’ website before the statutory deadline of 15th March 2020. All consultees will be informed of this publication.
